Kevin Spanner and Sensible Business Solutions were responsible for the entire design and implementation of the Information Technology and Communications systems for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Stadium, now known as ANZ Stadium. This included the development of specific software systems for the Stadium including its Tourism operations, Membership and ID systems. The Sensible team were also responsible for the day-to-day running of the computer network and communications infrastructure, as well as the provision of an IT Helpdesk for all our employees. This included performing key support roles for all major events including many NRL Grand Finals and State of Origin matches, AFL finals, Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2000, Rugby World Cup Finals 2003 , International Rock Concerts and many Socceroos matches, etc. I can honestly say that the depth of knowledge, service and professionalism displayed was second-to-none. Recently we had a need to upgrade our Server. This is normally a very costly adventure. Sensible took the time to go over all our company needs to make sure that we were not going to spend money on features that we wouldn’t use. The set up was highly organised and we experienced no down time, loss of data or emails. The whole process was seamless.

For years our IT network had provided smooth sailing, We had new, high end equipment and were being supported by a company who had been supplying us with IT equipment for over a decade. It wasn’t until we struck rough water that we found our support company didn’t have the depth of specialist IT knowledge to truly support us. When our previous support company ran out of solutions for the issues we were experiencing, we turned to Sensible. They not only quickly identified the issue but were able to allocate us a number of experienced staff to immediately get us back operating. Once we were stable they then checked over our entire network and discovered some other horrifying truths. We were completely inundated with viruses, which caused our domain to be blacklisted Our server was built with incompatible hardware Our network was built with multiple domains and workgroups all fighting for control For 18 months we had been religiously changing backup tapes when there was no software installed to run an actual backup Had our server failed, we may never have recovered. This situation really brought home the importance of having a company like Sensible managing our IT network. Their knowledge, experience and care are second to none.

We needed new printers and Kevin scoped the market and provided an appropriate quote. With his expertise, he sourced the best printers and made contact with industry partners to expedite this process, saving us time, it was great not to have to worry about it.

Your fantastic coordination and organisation of all of the IT requirements for the FIFA Headquarters and the FIFA World Congress venues ensured that the event ran smoothly and was a great success.
